Organizing Files
How do I create folders?
- Log into your KatFile account
- Click “New Folder” button
- Type a folder name (e.g., “Vacation 2024”)
- Press Enter
- Done!
Drag files into folders to organize them. Create unlimited folders and subfolders. Build any organization system that works for you.
Can I rename files and folders?
Yes! Click any file or folder, then click the “Rename” option. Type the new name and press Enter. Changes save instantly.
Rename as often as you want. Won’t affect download links you’ve already shared.
How do I delete files?
- Find the file you want to delete
- Click the delete/trash icon
- Confirm you really want to delete it
- File permanently disappears
Warning: Deletion is permanent! Deleted files cannot be recovered—even by KatFile support staff. Download important files before deleting if you might need them later.
Can I move files between folders?
Absolutely! Just drag files from one folder and drop them into another. Or use the “Move to…” button to select destination folders from a menu.

Can I recover deleted files?
